Walk 1000 miles 2020

The Arch - 9.75 miles Another area for easy winter walking with a choice of routes. I forgot to take any pictures so image is from an earlier visit.

Hafod Estate - 1.48 miles Short walk to where the Hafod House used to be on the Hafod Estate, just the stables left, and this water feature. (Lots of interesting walks in the estate grounds though!)

Cross Inn - 5.23 miles Cross Inn again, without extensions. Late walk but worth it for the sunset on the return leg!

Cross Inn - 6.26 miles Our quick go to walk - you will see us walking Cross Inn quite often - on this occasion we did the full walk with all the little extensions that are on tracks and back again. (There are also some footpaths but too wet for this time of year). 

Brechfa Forest Walk - 7.42 Miles We had to go to Carmarthen so we decided to take a walk at Brechfa as on the way. Brechfa has easy to walk forestry tracks, also good for cycling! We decided to wonder out and make a circular keeping to the upper tracks in the time we had. You can do as little or much as you like here, we choose to use the car park by the peace monument, but there are plenty to choose from as Brechfa is a large forest.

Cwmtydu Circular - 6.85 miles They sky may have been a little grey but not put off we did a circular going out on the coastal path, making it a circular walk by using the alternative coastal path as the return route. It was getting late in the day so towards the end we kept to the lanes rather than the footpath, but looked a good route in better light.

Dyffryn Gardens 2.35 miles  & Tinkingswood Burial Chamber 0.51 miles A little further afield than usual! We were in Cardiff so took the opportunity to visit Dyffryn Gardens and just up the road Tinkingswood burial chamber. We will definatly go back later in the year in better weather and when the gardens are in bloom!

Cors Caron -1.82 & 1.85 miles Cors Caron & railway line, today we did two mini walks at Cors Caron Cors Caron Walk 1 Walk 2

Cross Inn - 3.76 miles As this is fairly local, expect it to feature this year quite a few times! Simple, easy walk with pleasing views. Though this time of the local forna on a gate post. Old Gate post

Coed Tynybedw - 6.01 miles  It has been a while since we have walked here, late in the day so too late for picture views but did note some what we call an 'US' (unexpected seat) for next time! Forest Floor

Start of the walk 1000 miles in 2020! The plan is to post each walk to keep me on track, most will be short and sweet - but if anything of merit I'm sure I'll add a few words!
